spring 07

here is some of the work that i created my second semester of sophomore year at KCAI.  i am not pursuing throwing, but it was the focus of the semester.  all of the work is made with throwing porcelain.

 

this assignment was to pull 100 handles.  this one had a little more than 50 of them on it.  dipped in flashing slip and then salt-fired.

 

 

a simple cup.  rob’s turquoise glaze, Δ10 fired. 

 

 

cup and saucer set fired to Δ10.  the glaze on the rim of the cup and the edge of the saucer was developed by my fellow classmate alberto veronica.
